It's been amazing how far she has come in 2 years. She loves to sing. Her current favorites are Twinkle Little Star and Old MacDonald. She is bilingual and knows when to respond in English to her Daddy or Chinese to her Mommy and nanny. She prefers running to walking - despite her Grandma's warnings. Special thanks to Victor's parents for baby sitting for a whole month while Lilly was on vacation.

Her second birthday is right around the corner already. She loves ice cream and loves to go to the beach, what she refers to as the "ocean". Her vocabulary is growing daily, as is her temperment. Amelia has already taught her to take timeouts when she's naughty. Of course, as soon as she says, "sory . . . sory", it just melts Mom's heart.

At slightly past 1 1/2 years old, she's so much fun to play with now. She's got her wheels working and can't wait to explore new territory. She is already bilingual, which can cause blank reactions from her Dad (who doesn't understand Chinese), and her nanny (who doesn't understand English). She likes the outdoors and has little fear of new things. Her favorite songs are Old MacDonald and Barney's Tune.

. . . she's obviously a Sacramento Kings fan, like her father. She enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year as well as visiting the 2004 Rose Parade floats. At 16 months, Elissa had begun showing off her personality. While she's still the sweetest little girl, she has her moments and little tantrums. She loves playing with other kids and continues to explore whatever she can get her hands on. At this point, her primary language is more Chinese than English, thanks to our full-time nanny. Of course, that will change as time progresses, but for now, the more Chinese, the better.

Well, its that time of year once again when the Holiday Season is upon us. She has begun putting her new walking skills to the test and exploring as much as she can. She's also using developing her langauge skills more and more. Although, the only name she consistently gets right is Ivy.

Elissa is still a petite girl at only 21lbs. She's hasn't quite mastered walking yet, but she's getting better everyday. She definitely shows her preferences now during feedings as she tends to like the same things as her father. She's also a big rice eater. Most of the time, she's a social butterfly, engaging people and especially other babies and kids. She has also become quite the little explorer, wanting to see and touch everything she can get her little hands on. She also loves to babble - although no one really knows what she's trying to say. Our nanny (who doesn't speak English) thinks she's speakings English, Victor (who doesn't speak Chinese) thinks its Chinese, and Amelia (who doesn't speak French) thinks its French.
